About This Spot

Stepping into Le Chateaubriant Restaurante on Calle Nicaragua is like slipping into a cherished neighborhood secret — one where the pace softens, and a warm, inviting energy greets you. This is a place where lively conversation bubbles alongside the clinking of glasses, yet the atmosphere retains an intimate charm that feels both familiar and special. The colors, the subtle hum of attentive service, and the cozy, bustling room invite you to settle in and savor the moment.

Le Chateaubriant offers a dining experience that unfolds gently, with each course revealing layers of care and tradition. The kitchen’s touch is evident in the way freshest Mediterranean ingredients combine with classic French techniques — from the delicate balance in a creamy saffron curry chicken to the bright, nuanced flavors in a carefully prepared seafood dish. Add to that the unmistakable comfort of freshly baked homemade bread arriving warm at the table, and you get a sense of the deep pride held by the talented chef and the friendly team behind the scenes.

Whether it’s a midday escape with a well-priced three-course lunch that includes a refreshing salad or a carefully crafted main, or an evening indulging in more elaborate fare that dances between French elegance and Mediterranean zest, Le Chateaubriant carries a quietly joyful spirit. The staff’s genuine warmth and the subtle buzz of shared human moments make it clear why this local favorite often fills up with regulars and visitors alike.

Here, food is a conversation starter, a comfort, and a subtle celebration of life’s simple pleasures. Whether you’re drawn by the rich aromas of garlic escargots, the delicate sweetness of a Pavlova, or the depth found in a rustic beef carpaccio, every visit feels like discovering a heartfelt story told one plate at a time.

I've been driving past this place for years now, and only just got the opportunity to give it a try, and it was definitely worth the wait! Lovely little place, lovely food, a good choice of the menu del dia and also daily specials. The Sea bass was delicious and I'll definitely be going back soon.

Great value for money, friendly personnel, Spanish, English and French spoken but unfortunately no access for wheelchairs. Shrimp salad, Snails in garlic, Salmon with spinach or Steak tartare are very good. Good deserts too. Cash only, No credit cards!!!

Good French food on a budget in Elviria (Marbella East). Always fresh, always well prepared and nicely presented and service with a smile! Many choices of home made desserts. Big glass of wine included with the menu at 16.50 euro, 3 course meal! I paid 4 extra euros for French escargots! Terrasse is cool with its colourful frescas! Owner takes care of you as if you were family!
